L.L.L Designs
L.L.L custom jewellery is designed and handmade to represent the individual. The Soho collection features body jewellery and chain designs produced in gold and silver plated aluminium. Aluminium is lightweight, durable and functional, with a base silvery white appearance. Aluminium is among the most environmentally friendly material on the planet. It is arguably the most sustainable material in the world and is also highly recyclable.
Gold vermeil and gold filled materials are used for handmade jewellery, including wire ear cuffs and necklaces. This ensures that jewellery is high quality, longer lasting and wearable.

Predominant collections of L.L.L jewellery are made from 925 sterling silver and 9ct gold on sterling silver (precious metals.) This jewellery is designed then manufactured in a factory that has been registered as a Fairmined licensee, exclusively representing the first and only factory in Asia certified as a Fairmined authorised supplier. Both Fairmined and recycled gold and silver can be sourced for production.

Any bespoke, handmade jewellery, can be made to order in precious metals or non-precious metals. Occasional chain dresses are often requested in non-precious metal due to the vast amount of material needed to create these pieces.

Precious vs. Non-Precious Metal
The difference between precious and non-precious metals is primarily one of rarity and value. Precious metals include gold, silver and the platinum family while non-precious metals include all others. In addition to having a higher value, precious metals are particularly desirable for jewellery because they are less reactive than most elements, possess a higher luster and are easier to work with. However, many fashion jewellery items are made in non-precious metals in order to eliminate high costs.
Non-precious metal, will react to oxygen, moisturisers and perfumes on your skin and any other moisture that it is exposed to. In this case, the metal can oxidise and a green/black colour could build on the surface, transferring to clothes/skin. In order to avoid this, non-precious metal jewellery should be stored in a sealable, airtight plastic bag when not in use and avoid exposure to the mentioned elements. In order to remove any tarnishing, use a polish cloth and gently buff the metal. You will see the residue transfer on to the cloth and your jewellery will appear shiny and clear again. Similar care should also be taken with precious metal plating, as perfume, soaps and other chemicals can impact on gold layering and silver can appear dull.
